The Rise and Fall of Diversity at the University of Michigan

The University of Michigan puts out an annual salary report for all three campuses. In 2002 and 2003, there wasn't a single employee or office that had the words "diversity" Mark O'Mara: There's something like 35,000 employees since they make it available on a spreadsheet. He says in this current academic year 2018-19, he was able to identify about 84 or 85 full time diversity officers.
