Gold rose as the primary currency metal because it meeds all the criteria to be a good currency. The lionshire of my wealth is held right here in gold, because that's what they reset the currency against. I own enough silver to maintain my current standard of living and my children's for ten years. And you know, i had a great question the other day, wi about silver and old and the only challenge that i really have was silver, is that it's bulky.
