The Republican Opposition to ESG

Rep. Andy Barr, Republican Kentucky, disagrees with the SEC's climate disclosure rule for public firms. ESG is an acronym for environmental social governance standards. The GOP doesn't think US government should be front and center of the effort to combat climate change.
