McCartney's fixation on the lack of a mother figure recurs in Crippled Inside. He isn't even trying to find a father figure, which is interesting. Lenin always had was always kind of had a dissidence view of politics. Yoko stretches him artistically because she brings in other stuff like primal screen therapy by Arthur Janov. But they were doing late sixties silliness growing out of avant-garde from twenties or thirties.
