The History of Phenomenology in This Period, 1912 to 2005
Phenomenology is a very strong influence, particularly in France. But there's also competing programs as well. Heidegger and Husserl were such a deep influence on French thought after the war. Breton has this sort of Catholic small C universal drive to unity, but also to expansiveness. And those two movements of the mind are very much together - you know, in Breton.
