Vaccines and the Westnow Mosquito Virus
Westnow virus is mostly transmitted by mosquitoes in the genus cula. In an increasingly warm climate, it's very likely that that type of climate will increase both the abundance of these mosquitoes as well as increase their overall distribution. There have been phase one and two studies of human vaccines, but there haven't been any phase three or larger efficacy studies. Despite its global prevalence, despite being such common cause of mosquito born infection in the us, we still don't have any licensed human vaccines.
