i'm a full throated defender of liberalism, rightly understood and all that im but at the same time, i sometimes worry that giving them more attention than they deserve is the st gift that you can give to that sort of argument. I've got a chapter on on why liberalism actually needs the nation. The problem for a liberal is, how do you define that national community such that there is a boundary between people that are inside it and outside it?
