The Bond Market Is Getting Worried About Inflation in the US
Yields on a US 30 year treasury at 4.12% is now higher than the yield on a 30 year UK guilt, which is back below 4%. They were close to 5% before the Bank of England caved and started buying gilts to bring down the price. This could be an indication again that the dollar is topping out. Gold stocks also got beat up on the day, but they didn't make new lows either. The overall stock market kind of shrugged off what was happening in the bond market.
