What Are the Most Fundamental Questions of Philosophy?

Before René Descartes, most philosophers recognized that I can generally know what exists. He starts questions of how do we know that anything is real at all. And then out of that, going into the 20th century, we have now moved on to a philosophy of language. Emmanuel Kant provides really the most influential answer to that question in the modern world.
