La Bouvier's First Draft of the Guggenheim

Shadri Labuvier was a curator at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. She wrote an essay for the exhibit catalog about race and her experience as one of its few black curators. The piece caused controversy because it appeared to be written by La Bouvier, who is now out of work. In Canada where she lives there have been times when people feel that they're not allowed to say what they want on controversial subjects.
