Co-Constructivism in Early Childhood Education
Co-constructivism is the idea that children are capable learners who can create an image of the world themselves. So they're capable but at the same time require other people to really shape their world. And so for us as educators, the big question is what does that world look like? What does an inquiry-based co-constructed learning environment look like? The beauty of it is that it's very individual. You shape it together with your children. But it also requires a certain understanding of what it could look like.
