Introduction
Get the O2 is a podcast written by internal medicine residents meant to serve you better on the wards and on call. Today's episode is entitled Get the O2, an Approach to Hypoxic Respiratory Failure. In normal lungs, the partial pressure of oxygen is just over 100 millimeters of mercury. As blood travels away from the alveoli and through the arterial system, oxygen is offloaded from hemoglobin to be used in aerobic metabolism.
