The NTSB's Findings on the Accident Engines
There's a hundred and 32 pounds of bird. The size and number of birds ingested by the accident engines will exceed it. So that's basically just reinforcing what I said. Lots of birds, the plane ate a lot of birds. It was hungry. Despite being unable to complete the engine dual failure checklist, the captain started the auxiliary power unit (APU) which improved the outcome of the ditching.
