The Book of Job, a Big Picture, in Poem
The structure of the book as a whole breaks into a kind of a frame and then an internal section. The whole middle of the book unfolds in poet as a conversation between job and his three plus one friends. And it goes through these rounds in poetry as job tries to figure out why all these terrible things have happened to him. At the end of the book, then, i think the most fascinating thing about it is the way that god cs out in favor of job. In terms of all his impious, raw, unfiltered questioning of god,. god sides with job and not with job's friends who were defending a more common sense notion of religion.
