The Problem With Self-Serving Bias
There's very few outcomes that are solely luck or solely skill. We have a lot of leeway when we're examining our own outcomes to take the bad stuff and just say, "Oh, that was bad luck" That becomes a really big problem for learning. Once it becomes about our own life story, we actually make this very consistent error: It's called self-serving bias.
