Is There a Joy in Living Within Certain Limits?
I think what Illich you know Wendell Berry comes to mind as well and they were both I think you know mutual admirers and some respects that there is actually a kind of joy to be found right there. There's a joy in providing for yourself and for your family in these very small ways that you're describing. So giving people a taste of that and leading them myself included is not just others you know but but rediscovering these joys so that we can see that the alternative to the present structure techno economic structures of life with all their disorders isn't dire apocalyptic scene like Monty Python-esque scenarios.
