What We Learned From the Pandemic in the ICU

Major medical innovations emerged during the pandemic that were heavily used in the ICU. Corticosteroids or immunosuppressin therapy helped blunt some of the inflammatory response. Antiviral therapy is more broadly effective and we tend to use that really in the earliest phases of illness.
