Is the World Getting Richer?
i don't think there ever was the golden age, was there? I mean, it's interesting how much that idea of declinism has come into the popular consciousness. There's a thing called the gap minder institute, which was founded by hans rosling. And what gradually happens over time is that all these populations get richer and healthier. They live longer, they have more money,. And the big change do you see in two thousand this huge shift upwards in wealth and health, largely due to india and china improving on those measures.
