Is There a Specific Programming Example for Memorization?

When i was in college, one of the first biology exams that i had er was bi chemistry. We had to know all the ameno acids by heart. I don't think i would have understood that if i hadn't memorized those. So i personally feel that after i go through ninetynine memorization, lie, i know probably 95 % of rubys cor methods,. Like maybe they're just in my head. Literally, i wouldn't have to look em up in a dock. But that gives me, when i run into a problem, i sometimes see it as a combination of ruby core methods.
