In buddhism, the common sense idea that there is this abiding self at the core of our experiences is seen as an illusion. Many high level buddhist practitioners who like credibly gain deep insid or could claim for themselves,. the traditional meaning of genuine enlightenment, will argue that once they've reached these levels practice, they feel viscerally that sense a free will that we all sort of feel, they see that drop away.
