What Is the End of Creativity?
In our educational system, what we largely do is destroy the innate preference that children have up to the age of about seven for looking at how things relate in terms of their shapes. The trouble with this is that it ensures mediocrity. You can't make something by an act of will come into being anymore than you can make a river flow. A gardener can only optimize the conditions in which the plant left alone will flourish. And I look at it as like you're aiming on letting something flourish.
