You're Saying Ink in Comedy

Comedians often use the punch line to break tension, but there they're doing it in a way that is a departure from everything previous. The idea of you literally being like, ok, i'm going to like the idea of you wearing on stage something to stand out in a crowd. And then sort of ends with the twist on venmo. What are you hoping for for? That is the part before the,. You know, with a joke like this, when you have a more serious part and then you sort of undercut it... Are you negating everything you said before? How do you make sure you aren't doing that?
