CHAPTER

The Problem With Quantum Mechanics

The laws that govern particles are completely different from our experience. Particles can be two places at once and so on. But those laws make mathematical sense. And the Schrodinger equation is one which tells you how a system evolves according to the quantum laws. The question is why is it that when you have something large, say a measuring device, it doesn't seem to behave in the same way as we successfully apply laws to the quantum mechanics for small things.
