Alex has spent months processing wild ingredients to fill the gap. He is one of 26 foragers across the UK taking part in a controlled research study called the Wild Biome Project. Before, during and after their time as modern day hunter-gatherers, their health is measured and monitored. The inspiration for this three month project was an earlier and even more ambitious wild food adventure.
