The Impossible Force Meeting an Immovable Object

Bible professor says the whole biblical story could be summed up as an irresistible force meeting an immovable object. The irresistible force being the divine desire to bless humanity with abundance and authority. An immovable object, human stupidity, folly, autonomy, thinking we know what will bring us life. This is Jacob's story. God intends to give him something, and he spends his whole life trying to not receive it. And so God in God's creativity comes to Jacob in his sleep. He says, all right, I can't outrun this cat. He comes to him in his sleep! Michael: What do we see about God in this?
