The Importance of Camera Untethering in Spelunky

i never maybe fully took co-op seriously and i own i was thinking last night i almost wish there was a like a difficult mode of co-op which is if either one of you died the whole run is dead immediately because i think that would potentially feel like what spelunky is. The stuff where like it is easy to get somebody in a coffin if they died the next level or this fact that we could just cheese the level does feel really counter in many ways to what to me is the core dna of spelunky but also i think the camera untether untethering is what allowed for you to go finish the level.
