Is the University in Trouble?
Universities want to be seen as world leading institutions. But staff say that a corps goal is being undermined by the day-to-day operations. The sector continues to bleed staff, with one academic saying he's calling time because pay is no longer there. Rick Steves: We have a kind of identity crisis in universities in australia. He says they put all those things at extreme risk when they try to run these institutions like businesses.
