I think it's possible for Elon to switch past, but he's going to have to start playing hardball with major countries and risking Twitter getting banned in those countries if he doesn't play ball. No one is willing to pay the full price to take the platform and then just convert it into a blockchain open source decentralized network. If that were to happen, you can't ban anybody ever again.
