XBB 1.5 Has a Single Mutation in the Spike Protein
XBB 1.5 has a single mutation in its receptor binding domain of the spike protein that distinguishes it from XBB. If you don't have that interaction, the virus can't get into the cell and cause an infection. So essentially, does this mutation, I guess, make it like stick better to ourselves? Is that a way of understanding it? That's possible.
