The Intercessory Prayer for the Church
The Son undergoes baptism by John the Baptist. The Spirit descends upon him and then the Father from heaven says, Thou art my beloved Son with thee I am well pleased. So the Son is clearly distinct from both the Spirit and the Father in this passage. This is Jesus great intercessory prayer for the Church.
