The Importance of Nuclear Security
There's only one person who could have ordered the use of nuclear weapons, and that would reinforce Khrushchev's concern. The whole incident was covered up and not known until the 1990s. What else can we do? Well, one we can write and think and debate about the importance of nuclear disarmament or non-proliferation treaty. You can educate the public by writing essays in popular journals if you're trying to influence a broader public. And lastly we need to train the next generation of nuclear national security specialists.
