Is the Erotic a Portal to Freedom?

The erotic can become a refuge and an escape, but not integrated into how we feel about ourselves. How do we use the erotic to find these places of refuge where we can be ourselves and find community? And then also honor the need to integrate it and maybe confront the places yet that we're hiding within ourselves? Yes, it's tough stuff, but i think we kind of have to start with thinking with a mind set that if i want to do something, i want to express myself a certain way.
