The Importance of Altruism in Life
I think if enough people got actual satisfaction from helping others, genuinely recognized that feeling and did it more often, the world would be a better place. And this goes back to your idea when you mentioned futility. I do think that as collapse progresses and so many of our actions do seem futile, i think the ones that we can choose to do deliberately, that will impact other people positively are always worth doing. Maybe it sounds super cheesy, but i am the type of person that does feel like maybe nothing else i do matters, but there is satis action and purpose behind that. Or one starfish. Id just throw that one starfish back in the o go super clice here
