The proponents of the extended evolutionary synthesis are not trying to show exactly how things like plasticity, nich construction, epiepieia, epigenetic a influence the standard theory. And so for me, for example, i've stopped using terms like genetic assimilation and genetic accommodation. What i want to know is, if i want to predict the strength of selection on a particular trait from one generation to the next, there's already a very good statistical model.
