Is the Anthropic Principle Really Dangerous?

It seems really mysterious how you could have a universe relying on totally random chance leading to us being around. And it makes me wonder, what's behind these rules of the universe that allowed such incredible, seemingly random chance in such a large scale? We just don't know, right? And it's the kind of thing that we wonder about at the very core of the universe - if some the numbers that control the universe or set randomly and what mechanism sets those random numbers.
