The Crimes of the Second World War

James Waterhouse visited a facility for Russian prisoners of war in the west of Ukraine. He was granted access by Ukrainian authorities, who would have been wanting to put on a good show so they could secure their own prisoner releases. From what we saw, the prison was old, crumbling in bits, but it was clean. We saw a lot of the soldiers looked malnourished, they looked pale, they had a glazed look on their eyes. It's worth stressing again that these are men that would not have been able to have been speaking freely because it is not in their interest to speak of their captors. The difference between Ukraine and Russia is that Russia has not allowed any inspectors
