The idea of comparing countries by how many reported covid cases they've got still happens. But people have given that up as a way, basic way of base of comparing s. It still assumes a good death registration system, which isn't necessarily the case in some places. And then you get a very different view and countries come out very badly. Indeed, particularly increasingly looking like countries in central and south america have had extremely high acks of peru and other bolivia and others.
