"I don't feel like I don't identify as trans and I would be nervous to sort of fuck it up in a way that would feel untrue," she says. "Trans authors have really given me so much, especially having me so much to chew on in terms of gender queerness and about transness." There is a trans character in my graphic novel, the Lolo Woods, a witch who appears in the fifth issue,. The writer has thought about including such characters in her future work.
