Intuition is a deep knowing and emotion is a reactive force that is often destructive. If I'm emotional about something, I'm almost certain to do the wrong thing. Intuition depends on an inability to unpack it into sort of finer grained elements. There's all sorts of old ethically dubious psychology experiments from the 60s and 70s where people were manipulating people's emotional responses in particular ways.
