"I don't think that the burl provides something that can't be accounted for in the box. It's just all how you treat and how you use your ears," he says. "Sometimes I'd say 60% of the time the burl sounds better, but it's really just a matter of taste." The only real thing I noticed between the burl and summing in the box when I do these little shoot outs is the burl is a little wider and the low end maybe is a little more smeared and glued together".
