The Error of Natural Theology
The doctor is not anti-intellectual at all. He wanted, always wanted people to think hard. But he's using reason in that sense that Luther was having a go at as an infallible means of finding things out. And if we leave Jesus Christ out of our thinking, then we are being illogical. That is the error of natural theology.
