CHAPTER

The Risk Isn't Asking for What You Want

The risk isn't asking for what you want. The risk lies not inside of whatever the behavior or activity is, but inside of taking the risk of saying, this is what would feel good to me. Sexual fantasies are not always literal sometimes they are, but often they're not. They are symbolic, they are metaphors and it's not necessarily something that we want to do. But they can show us part of ourselves that give us information about what we want or what we don't want, what we're craving. It opens a portal to something within us that is worth exploring, but it doesn't mean anything bad.
