Ira Amiti's Death
An ancient Babylonian text records the tale of one king by the name of Ira Amiti. He was given an especially sinister omen, generally interpreted to be a lunar eclipse. An abdicated his throne and temporarily placed his gardener on the throne in his place. Unfortunately he died that night while eating hot porridge in the palace. The real sin may have been remaining in the palace after he had abdicated the throne.
