Working Memory Versus Long Term Memory

Cognitive load theory and the zaganic effect is something where this was first described in a restaurant. While it was on their mind, or while there was still a task for them to do, they could still remember it. But once that task had been finished, then they could no longer remember it. That doesn't really fit into the way of thinking of working mory. Like, how do we actually fit that into working memory verses long term memory? Clearly, it's not in the long term memory, which certainly doesn't seem to be,. Because it apparently disappeared afterwards. This person didn't remember the thing any more.
