The First Time I Met a Hero
Some of my heroes have been like super pleasant and real life and kind of illuminating. I try to tell young people this now too is like John Waters has a great section in role models where he talks about when you get older, you have to have youth spies. You could not believe how valuable you could be to these people you admire. If you could just figure out a way to share what you're interested in in a clear kind of straightforward, interesting way, like I'll give you a perfect example. It's the beginning of chapter nine in Frankenstein where Mary Shelley's writing about after the emotions are heightened and all this stuff happens,. There's nothing worse than that inaction afterward.
