How to Measure Success in Jiu Jitsu
When I got into Jiu Jitsu, like many young men at the time, I started this sport because I wanted to learn to defend myself and to build confidence. But if you ask me now why I train, I'm not even sure it's that important to me to actually be good at Jiu Jitsu anymore. And so my motivations have changed over time as well. When we are in the beginning stages of the journey, I think it's very simple in a sense: everybody's better than us. Whether you're white or blue belt, there's plenty of people around who are better than us"
