I Was Born in Bangladesh, I Wasn't Bangladesh Enough

Abdulla's novel is about leaving things behind and trying to be a new person in a new place. I think lots of immigrants have a similar relationship with places that they've left behind. For someone like my mom, I guess the thing for her, you know, was it guilt that she left this place and didn't help rebuild? And we're not there afterwards to try and support and help them through it. But yeah, it's a really interesting conversation.
