The Relationship Between Customizability and Design
A lot of apps that strive for customizability end up having slightly worse designs as a result. And then and then the same is true of the better designed apps, the limitations they've imposed on those apps often help in coming up with a more polished design. I don't think they're mutually exclusive personally, but I do think that they're correlated to some of the apps that we look at.
