Cold Water Swimmers Aren't as Strong as You Think

Nerve and muscle function is compromised when you're rally cold. Cold studies find that if measure grip strength before and after a cold water bath, it's down 20%. For every degree it celsius, i think it is, that your muscel temperaturehas fallen. So for a cold water swimmer, whether it's lewis pew or someone doing robin island, or the channel, whatever it is, they need to make sure that they become quite good at defending a as those drops in temperature. That's what training gives them. And so that means they become better cold water swimmers, technically.
