The best advice I ever got about pitching was to go in and listen. Listening seems counterintuitive when you're talking but they often tell you what's missing from their programming or what they have a Jones for. And it doesn't mean you have to do what they say. It just means you now have the lens to look into to say, oh, can I do this? Is this right for 10 year old boys? Cause that's what they need a show about.
